With the latest LrD 7.0,  LrClassic 13.0 and ACR 16.0 release, here is some additional workaround that you can try:

If you encounter GPU driver issues while using ML features in LrClassic/LrD/ACR, please try to update to the latest macOS version or if you are on a Windows machine, follow https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html to update your machine to the latest GPU driver and  see if the problem resolves itself.

If the OS or the driver is not available or possible

We've reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe or Apple?

  1.  No dialog, just closes Lightroom CC
  2. Trying using the me.com domain suffix instead, I think that what was it was sent under.
  3. I get both an Adobe reporter and an apple crash report (but never both at the same time, its just either).

I haven't seen a crash come through yet for the me.com version either.  Looks like your subscription is at mac.com though. I don't see a report at either address.  Can you crash again and attempt to resend one?

This is still happening. I did install the MacOS 11.6.1 update to make sure I am up to date, but now the adobe crash reporter never shows up to send a crash. It's always the apple crash reporter.

Okay, I actually was able to get the Adobe crash reporter to appear and just sent a report. Should be under the same email as my account here.

I am still unable to locate any crash reports under that email.

Please go to Help>System Infoā€¦ and get us the exact installed version number of your software. I want to confirm everything before investigating further.

@MasterLaz This is helpful. It shows that you have a Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 with a pretty old driver version 22.20.16.4771. The latest version is 30.0.100.9955. See

@MasterLaz I had the same issue. My system said my drivers were up to date but the manufacturer didn't have the newest drivers. I had to manually bypass the manufacturer's lock on my graphics card to update them to the newest driver.

Since installing Monterey I can't find the slider panel when masking. I can use the new masking features but unable to make any adjustments to them as the adjustment panels are not visible or not there.

I'm new to Apple computers and I'm using an iMac 24 16GB

Thank you in advance

Saw it now. It looks like a crash happened somewhere deep in bowels of mac MPSKernel. It could be an Apple issue.

MPSKernel = standard interface for Metal Performance Shaders kernels.

Yes. It's a base Mac mini of the new apple silicon line. It's been fast and very responsive prior to this update. And meets the requirements for Adobe. M1 Mac's only come in 8GB or 16GB at this time.

@anthonym39116038 It could be a sympton of your system running out of RAM that leads to some crash in Apple component. One thing you could try is updating your machine to the latest macOS 12 to see if it makes a difference.

@anthonym39116038 I have an Adobe colleague who has a Mac mini (M1, 2020) on macOS 11.6,  but it has 16GB of RAM. He is able to follow your select subject script and could not reproduce the crash.

According to Google search, it seems that Mac mini (M1, 2020) has memory that is integrated into the Apple M1 chip and can't be upgraded. You can configure the amout of RAM in your Mac mini only when you purchase it.
