Photo, Edit in PS CC 2019 make changes to image then Save. Back in LR, +6 added to Temp, why?

Hi Can anyone help with my frustrating workflow problem?

I use LR Classic CC (release 8.0 camera raw 11.0) and PS CC2019 (Release 20.0.0). Mac.

I click Photo, Edit in PS CC 2019 and make my changes in PS, (I usually add blue sky to real estate images) then Save.

I go back to LR and +6 has been added to Colour Temp, why is this happening?

There are other things happening to the images too, eg they are brighter in the centre than the edges and need editing again in LR.

ProPhoto RGB is the colour space selected in both.

I'd appreciate any advice as this is really time consuming when editing several properties a day.

This seems to be caused by some import preset or somehow you set all TIFF files to have a Default setting of +6 Temp adjustment. It should read Zero and Zero ( 0 0 ) for Temp and Tint. As the new file, the one returned by PS, is a TIFF and clearly in the Basic section the WB is set to Custom and that +6 value set.

You can try resetting all Default Develop setting back to Adobe Defaults and test (IE Send a RAW file to PS and save it, Ctrl + S) and then view the resulting TIFF in the develop module.

To Reset to Adobe Defaults go into the Develop module then the "Develop" Menu item and select "Set Default Settings". In the dialog that comes up select "Restore Adobe Default Settings". Then Test as described above. The resulting TIFF should read "As Shot" (Not Custom) and be 0 0 for temp & tint.

This will result in any previous default setting you made for a specific camera model, serial number, to be wiped out but you can then set them up again. Just don't do it for TIFF files. Only do it when a RAW file is being displayed.

Please show us a screen shot of the Before image, with the Basic panel in the Develop module shown, and the After image with the same Basic panel shown.

If you are sending an image to PS from LR then a new file is being created, either a TIFF or PSD file and the RAW images isn't changed.

Hi

Here is the before and after in LR.

I merge images to create a .dng image.

Export that to edit in PS

Make the changes then Ctrl S to Save then close the image.

It returns to LR as a TIFF and has added +6 TEMP and other distortions with means I have to make several adjustments again eg Temp and remove the 'Enable Lens Corrections' option then darken the centre of the image....If I could find the options that were adding this I'd be happy to uncheck them!

    You don't use the actual versions of Lightroom and Photoshop.

    Please install the latest update of Lightroom (8.1) and Photoshop (20.0.2) and then please check.

    Thank you Axel, all updates installed as you suggest and there is no change. I have been having this problem for years.

    Do you have another idea?
