Photo GPS coordinates not mapping correctly after import to LRC

Hello,

I have imported into LRC a series of photos taken with my iphone. Lightroom is not correctly reading the coordinates (for example 37°25'21.54" 7°27'16.56" ) omiting the N W reference in the original gps file (37° 25' 21.54" N 7° 27' 16.56" W) wich can be read by other applications, therefore not mapping the photos acurately.

Is this a new bug or is there a way to change the way LRC reads the original file?

Thank You

Were these photos first imported into Mac Photos and then exported from Photos?  Photos has long had a bug with encoding GPS locations that doesn't conform with industry standards.

I suggest you upload one of the problem photos to Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. and post the sharing link here.  I can put it under the microscope, verify the problem, and likely provide a workaround.
