Photo's taken with iPhone 15 Pro Max cannot properly imported into Lightroom Classic 13.0.1

Hi,

When I import photos taken with my Apple 15 Pro Max into LrC, it appears that about half of the photos are highly overexposed. If I then switch from Library mode to Develop mode and then click on an underexposed photo, the exposure is corrected in a few seconds. Unfortunately, this correction is not permanent. After a trip to another folder or restarting LrC the problem is the same again. It also happens that some photos are not loaded into LcR at all.
This problem does not exist when using the Apple Photos program. Are you aware of this problem and do you have a solution? Already called Apple Support, they can't help me.

    This bug has still not been tackled.  I have the exact same issue. In grid view the pictures are over exposed, in develop fine. How come this takes so long to fix?

    I reported this issue in September and Adobe recognized it as a software error and promised to fix it, but not yet. There are a few workarounds. Photos opened in photoshop are opened correctly and not overexposed. When they are saved in photoshop an opened in Lightroom Classic they are not overexposed.  Alternatively when photos are corrected in develop mode and exported they can be re-imported with correct exposure. I dont know why it takes Adobe so long to fix this, as photos are opened correctly in photoshop.

    Thank you for this message. What I do now is import the photos as a PNG file. No problems after that. I'm also going to try the proposed temporary solutions. Hope with you that Adobe will solve the problem now.

    I downloaded a sample DNG and brought it into my test catalog.

     

    I do not see the authors issue. Initially I did not make any adjustments, Library and Develop very close to one another. After accomplishing simple tone changes, it still behaves,

     

    As for Adobe Standard vs Apple Pro RAW (and that is an Adobe Profile for the Apple Pro RAW) yes differences, but that is to be expected, they are different analogys of how to treat the RAW data.

    Same here. The embedded preview is much better and clearer. Also, when changing from "Apple Pro Raw" to "Adobe Standard" the image gets much better... whats going on here?
