Please check your folder permissions, and make sure that you have available space on your backup drive and main catalog's drive.

"Please check your folder permissions, and make sure that you have available space on your backup drive and main catalog's drive." Is the error message that I get when I try to backup my catalog.

I've looked at multiple threads already but I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. I recently updated my mac to OS High Sierra and I've been having this problem of not being able to back up my recent catalogs. I've tried checking the user permissions and mine is already on "Read & Write" permissions. My main and external hard drive has more than enough space to back it up, and I've already tried backing up my catalog onto a different hard drive.

I had the same problem, win10, Lightroom CC classik version 7.3. One directory saved backups, two others do not. There was enough disk space and the administrator's rights were in order. Helped overwrite the config.lua file as written on this support page Unable to back up the catalog in Lightroom CC

This seems to be a common problem for Mac OS upgrades.

Check the drive to make sure your user ID has the correct rights.

Using Finder, check the folder settings to make sure you have read and write access for your user ID. You may need to set "everyone" for read and write access.

I'm logged onto my @ErrysFrondarina account as there are no other accounts and the settings are "read and write." Here's a screenshot.

I'll go ahead and I'll give it a try.

I've noticed that my backups are not saving in the usual format of dates as well. They're saving the dates within a folder of another date, whereas it would usually go under 9/29 date and continue from there. How can I fix this so that it will continue in chronological order under 9-29?
