PNG Export fails

For some reason, I am unable to export my photos as PNG files but have no issues with TIFF or JPG.

If I try to export as PNG a few files export then I get the attached error.  The contents of the file will vary depending on what I am exporting.  However, the error states that files could not be found.  However, the same error does not occur if I export to a different format, just PNG.

TIA, Pete

You have quite a few plugins installed. If you disable all of them, can you then export as PNG?

If you can, enable them one at a time followed by a test export as PNG to find the offending plugin.

I'm a bit suspicious of Plugin Parameters – what does it do, and does it have anything to do with exporting?

Hey, @petes52120274. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Lightroom Help > System Info > Copy and paste it into a text document > Upload and attach it here.

As a test, add these images to an album and right-click on the album to store them offline. Check if export works with the offline album. You can also test exporting the videos from Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3Ba4XSH).

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Thanks for the System info. I've moved your post to Lightroom Classic discussions. Please share screenshots showing the settings you've used to export in Lightroom Classic. The Export error log suggests something failed at the post-processing stage.

Are you using an external editor to post-process the images?

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Graphics Processor Info:
DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (32.0.15.5597)
Init State: GPU for Image Processing supported by default
User Preference: Auto
Enable HDR in Library: OFF

Probably not a solution to your problem, but that GPU driver v555.97 is out of date, at NVIDIA, v566.36 is shown as current (released December 10 2024)

Does LrC think that many of your original photos are missing?

If it turns out not to be a plugin issue, try to reset the preferences.

Method 3 on this page is the easiest way to do it.

If you have changed many settings in the preferences, you may want to take screenshots of all the tabs in the preferences dialog before resetting to make it easier to restore them.
