png from Lightroom CC?

I recently read that images will look better on Facebook, when imported to Facebook as png's. Is there anyway to export as png from Lightroom CC? I have read of the this "Magic Export" plugin but can't seem to find it anywhere, nor can i confirm it's a viable option. I realize I can edit in PS and then save as png but it would be nice to export from LR as png.

Lightroom does not export as PNG.

As a Facebook user, I am skeptical that photos will look better with png output, my JPGs that I upload to Facebook look fine.

Are you using LR CC, The Cloud Centric version of LR or LR Classic CC (or some version of the Traditional version of LR)?

Lightroom Classic CC Desktop.

One is jpg and the other png and on Facebook, the png looks sharper and brighter in my opinion.

It will be necessary for you to use some other software to generate the PNG file. Lightroom will not do it.

Hi All,

We are happy to announce the release of Lightroom Classic 8.4 and we now support exporting as PNG.

To update Lightroom Classic to 8.4, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop app next to Lightroom Classic.
