Possible to keep settings and configurations when switching Adobe account?

Hello Everyone,

I recently broke-up with my girlfriend and she used my Adobe account for lightroom classic.

The issue we are having is that i don't want her using my account and she is affraid to lose all her presets, setting and everything she has configured in it. Is it possible for her to get her own subscripton and keep everything in Lightroom Classic as is?

Lightroom Classic is not chained to a specific account. All she needs to do is log out of the current account and log into the new account. All her settings will still be as they were. Contrary to what is said in another answer, you do not need to uninstall / reinstall / export / import anything. The only thing that will not transfer is if she has synced her catalog to the cloud, because cloud space is specific to an account. She would have to resync.

Yes, she can retain all her Lightroom Classic settings, presets, and configurations when switching to her own Adobe account. You can try like this:

  • Export Presets and Settings:

    • In Lightroom Classic, right-click on each preset and select "Export" to save them as files.
    • For other settings, navigate to Preferences > Presets > Show All Other Lightroom Presets to locate and copy the settings folders.
  • Transfer to New Account:

    • Install Lightroom Classic under her new Adobe account.
    • Import the previously exported presets and copy the settings folders into the appropriate directories.
