Postpone subscription verification

Sometimes when opeing lightroom classic and the computer is not connected to the internet a window pops saying something to the likes of -Unable to verify your subscription. The only options are then to close the program or "try again". This is a huge issue if you are out in the field, far away from internet connection. I would like to use the program that I pay for without internet connection, at least of a few days or a week. I sometimes work on a boat out at sea and need to use the program, but can't because I can't connect to verify my subscription, even though I was connected the day or a few days earlier.

I'm sure I'm not the only photographer out ther that would like to use Lightroom classic reliably even when I'm working in remote areas.

The Creative Cloud software verifies the account status on Adobe servers once a day. If the account is in good standing (that is, payment is up-to-date) when the last verification happens, the software status refreshes to run for at least 99 days offline.

Before you go on a trip that may be without the internet, go and sign out of the Adobe Creative Cloud via the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App, and then sign back in. That should cause a authentication check. That should move your next required authentiacation check further into the future, as it restarts the clock.

P.S. unless you have a reason like above, do not normally sign out, doing so deactivates the Adobe programs on your computer, requiring a sign in to re-activate.

Moderators, @Rikk Flohr: Photography, please move this thread to Discussions, since the feature is already implemented but not working properly.

Normally, you should be able to use LR for up to 129 days without it needing to connect to cloud and verify your subscription:

In years past, there were sporadic reports of that being flaky (I once got on an 18-hour flight only to discover LR couldn't verify the license), but there have been fewer such reports in the last few years I think.  See if this Help article helps:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/cannot-verify-subscription-offline-mode.html

Note that you need to do those troubleshooting steps while online.  Also, after applying those steps, test out offline use by turning off your Wifi and other network connections.
