Hi All! I work with wedding photographers color correcting their images with presets that they share with me. I have yet to come across any issues with importing presets until now. I imported a preset (xmp) and could not find it in the list of my presets. I do have images imported in the catalog and the " Show Partially Compatible Develop Presets" checked in preferences. The preset is not showing under the profiles in the develop module. Any assistance is appreciated, thanks!

The preset wasn't hiding in the folders. However, you are correct in that I needed the creative profiles. The photographer sent them to me and as soon as I imported them the preset popped up in my preset folder. Thanks!

Make sure the preset / profile isn't appearing in a group that's been hidden. In the Presets panel, click the + button in the upper-right corner and click Manage Presets.  In the Profile browser, right-click one of the profile groups (eg. Adobe Raw) and do Manage Profiles.

The preset might be referring to a creative profile that you haven't imported -- a longstanding bug in LR silently hides such presets. You can edit the .xmp file in a text editor and see if there's a "look" it refers to.

If these steps don't help, attach the .xmp file here and we can look inside it.
