Question

Presets applies with an unwanted haze

Hello community!

For some time I have had serious problems with applying my presets. When I apply the preset the result looks milky and hazed. Not what it is supposed to look like. I could get around the problem by being lucky and applying a specific random preset first, and then applying my own preset. That made my other presets work again without looking hazed. In my preset settings I have it set to copy curves settings as well, so that is not the case.

I really hope anyone can help me, because I have a wedding to edit and this has gone from bad to worse.

Doea anyone know how to fix this? I just updated to the latest version of Lightroom cc, and it didn't fix it, unfortunately.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Your preset is either making an unwanted setting that you accidentally included or it is not setting a parameter that you meant to have included in it. When you create a preset it asks you what parameters need to be included. You should just recreate the preset from an image that you edited to look good and make sure you include the parameters that need to be included. Typically this is all parameters but watch out for including masks as that is rarely what you want.

What number does your pre-set change the Dehaze slider to? What happens if you experiment with this preset by changing Dehaze to zero?

The dehaze slider does not change. It is the preset that applies wrong and looks hazed even though it shouldn't.

I have just read about several kinds of bugs, and I will try to install LR again and restart the computer. I have read that others had this bug too, when they tried to apply a preset to multiple photos.

I also struggle with my new Canon R6 Mark ii freezing on me from time to time, so its just not my week (apparently I'm not the only one with that problem)😆😅

Do the menu command Help > System Info -- which version number are you running?

It is Lightroom version 12.5.
