Hello,

I just got a brand new m1 max macbook pro and there is still the same problems as on my last macbook pro...

When I'm scrolling trough the library module the quality of the previews is fine, and works as I have setted it!

But as soon as I switch to the develop module the quality decreases significantly, basically it's not possible to work on such a preview... The only solution is to zoom in and create a 1:1 preview! On a 65MP camera that's a little bit of a problem as the whole sistem slows down and does not run smoot anymore...

Tried to switch off the GPU but there is no way to work that way, with no GPU the M1 mac max slows down like the pc of my grandma...

Does someone know how to fix this problem?

Thank you!

I run an M1 Macbook Pro and have not encountered the same issue.

Where are the files saved? Are they on the laptop or connected via an external drive?

Within the preferences, it may help to optimize the catalog and clear the cache.

Hey Joseph,

thank you for your reply!

Well, the files I'm working on are located on an ssd.

The catalog gets optimized every time I open Lr.

thanks
