Preview Unavailable for this file - Importing from Dropbox

I'm trying to import Fujifilm X-T4 JPG files into Lightroom Classic version 14.0.1 from Dropbox and am getting the "Preview Unavailable for this file" message.  I do this process with two separate MacBooks and it works on one, but not on the other (both running the same version of LRC).  Any suggestions?

NEVERMIND!  I'd delete this post, but can't figure out how.  Anyway - in case anyone else happens to encounter this problem - I had the Dropbox folder set to "Online Only" on one Mac and "Make Available Offline" on the other Mac.  It needs to be available offline for Lightroom to have access.

Preview files reside in the same folder where the LrC Catalog is, it's not a good idea to have your Catalog in the like of Dropbox or One Drive as it significantly increases the likelihood for the Catalog to get corrupted.

PS, what you experienced is expected since LrC needs to have access to the original files on your local hard drive and will not work with original that are of line.

You can disregard the original post as it's not applicable to your situation.
