Printing after making soft proofing adjustments - do i need to export?

Hey,

So I need something answered.

I am intending on printing a series of images in lightroom. I am using soft proofing, I have created a proof copy using the .icc profile the paper manufaturer supplied. I have made adjustments to the image to compensate for the paper.

My question is - do i need to export this image before I print it, or will the adjustgments be reflected in the final print if i just jump straight to the print section in lightroom? It would seem annoying to have to export the file, to say a .tif, import it, then print it ?!? Also it would save me a bunch of HD space if i don't have to export the .raf (Fuji) file first.

the Soft Proof copy will be appended with the profilename paper and rendering intent.  Print that copy straight from Lightrooms Print Module

Soft proofing is not an edit by itself, it is a special kind of view, where Lightroom shows you the image in the color space of the printer. That means that Lightroom shows you how the final print will look (within the limitation that you are looking at a screen, not at ink on paper). If you make edits because you want to improve what you see, then you are making edits targetted to this particular printer/paper and for that reason you save these as a special virtual copy with the name of that printer/paper. That means that the idea is that you can now print this virtual copy from Lightroom and will get a print that matches what you saw (as well as possible). So no, you do not need to export this image.
