I am having a problem with where the Sync Images are being stored on my Win laptop computer ( LrC 14.5,1, Win 11 see info. On my Signature below).
The info in the LrC Preferences shows an incorrect file path ( I believe this path was inherited from a Catalog I was using on my iMac ).
When I attempted to make a change to a new location on my Win laptop a popup indicates to copy the existing data this fails as the data was sent on a path that does not exist.
I am thinking of using the Delete All Sync Data option, but I am unsure.
Any Ideas?

@JohanElzenga , Got things sorted out on a chat with Adobe Support. Had a 2 hour session with two agents one worked for about 15 or 20;minutes then he passed it to a more senior agent who sorted it out eventually. He went through all the things we tried then eventually reset preferences and made changes in multiple files before he got things fixed.
I hope I do not have to go through all the stress with LrC 15.0 next month.

Just clarifying I am attempting to Sync the images to an external drive, D://My Pictures/Mobile Photos.

Try this: First relink that Mac folder (using 'Find Missing Folder') to the corresponding folder on the PC. Then change the preference settings. Another option should be to click 'Cancel', so Lightroom does not try to move the existing images (no idea why that dialog does not have a 'Do not move' button).

Thanks for the thoughts, My iMac is limited to LrC 12.5 so I changed Syncing to the PC since the release of LrC 13.
It's almost two years since and there have been multiple changes to LrC specifically how Syncing to the Cloud, Upgrading of the Catalog and the application to AI functionality Denoise etc.
I have purged / deleted all the DNG files created with the earlier LrC application from the Catalog and replaced them with the new process. I do not wish the copy info from the iMac.
I will try the second option and see if that helps.
Will give an update later this afternoon.

@JohanElzenga , I have checked the second option you provided without success.
I at a loss and I believe if I delete all the sync date the application will attempt to sync the Mobile Data to the incorrect location.
Is there a way to change the Lightroom Sinc info to the default location for Win 11?

Yes, there is. Just uncheck the box in front of "Specify location for Lightroom's Synced images". You may get that dialog about moving existing images again, however. I just don't know.

I will try.
Create a folder to match the name that is presently showing in the preferences it may start to sync the images from apps?
The sync work fine uploading images to the Adobe creative cloud just fine.
Just so strange that the Catalog worked for nearly two years going through all the updates from LrC versions 13 & 14. I did have problems during the transition with version 13.
I think I did a reset of preferences a couple months ago.

If you uncheck the checkbox, then Lightroom should create a 'Mobile Downloads' folder inside your catalog folder. You don't have to do that. Creating a folder with the same name as on the old computer won't work, because Lightroom looks at the entire folder path and folders paths in Windows and MacOS are incompatible.

@JohanElzenga , I have to do some investigation now, I also had Lr Desktop installed on iMac but I uninstalled many months ago.
I have checked my iMac and even though I have the sync turned off the images from the Mobile apps are downloaded to the Mobile Photos folder on the iMac,.
I think I have a big task on my hands.
This is really weird.

@JohanElzenga , I have not been successful in resolving the problem, images from my mobile devices get downloaded to the iMac, while my collections on the Win 11 laptop get uploaded to Adobe Creative cloud with no issue.
LrC version 12.5 is not supported for sync for over a year.
I uninstalled Lr Desktop version 6 from the iMac and has not been turned on for over a year.
There is an older version of Lr desktop 5 in the Application folder of the iMac but I can not uninstall or remove. When I attempt to uninstall a popup says items to delete 1, there is a button in the popup if I click there is a popup Stop moving items to the bin. If I click on there the process stops.

Call Adobe support. It's clear we can't solve this on our own.

Ok, I guess that is the best option at this stage.
The only backup I have is LrC 13.3 that was automatically created when that update took place. Thanks for the help.
I was thinking of using that Catalog to boot and see if I can change the location of the Mobile data in the Preferences file.
