Problems With Aurora HDR 2018 LR Plug-In

I purchased Aurora HDR 2018 last night and installed it as a plugin for LR CC. Showed as installed. I exported with LR edits 5 bracketed images and Aurora was able to create a merged image. Did my editing and hit "apply" and Aurora showed was exporting back to LR. Aurora then closed and took me back to LR. Strangely, I then see dialogue in LR showing it is still exporting the images to Aurora. Hmmm. In any event, that dialogue closes shortly thereafter but I can't find my Aurora HDR image anywhere that was supposedly sent back to LR? I tried it twice with two different sets of images and the same thing happened. I also shut the programs
down and restarted, but no luck. I understood that Aurora would send it back to LR so it showed up right next to my original set of images. Perhaps it is the way I have the library sorted? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi adamk4715416,

I checked the manufacturer's website and only see that these presets are supported only for Lightroom 4, 5, 6 and CC. Could you please check with the manufacturer that it has been updated to support the new version? You may refer the FAQ section on their website: FAQ: Tools & Features

    Thanks,

    Akash

Thanks Akash. Not sure what you mean by the "new version"? Their website says it supports Adobe LR and PS CC:

I have emailed their customer support and await a response. I should note that after I posted the initial message, I tried to change my "View" in LR to sort by date capture, date file added, file type, etc., but still couldn't locate the Aurora HDR merge image.

You are the second person to express a problem with this plug-in today. I have watched the video on YouTube demonstrating how to use it. It seems fairly straightforward, but I have no experience with Aurora HDR. I suggest you contact their support people.

    Further update:
Last night I was able to successfully take photos from LR into Aurora, merge, export back AND find the file. Although not completely certain how I got it to work, I credit Tim Grey and his excellent tutorial on using Lightroom and Photoshop together and the preferences menu setup in LR which asks you to identify and set up a third party editing program. See video beginning at 17:10 minute mark:

However, what I now noticed, is that the minimal LR edits I did before sending to Aurora do not seem to have survived the round trip, despite choosing to "Export Copy with LR edits" ? BTW Aurora has not gotten back to me yet.
