"Best practice" for transferring LrC catalog to a new computer

I searched for this subject, but seemed to have come up blank. I am sure it has been discussed elsewhere, but I couldn't find it.
I expect to be replacing my computer in the near future. I will obviously have to set up the LrC catalog on the new computer.

What is the "Best Practice" for that?

-   Use the zipped back up copy from the last time I closed LrC?

-   Or take a copy of the full catalog ie. .lrcat and helper etc files, and paste it in the new computer?

Thank you

Copy the catalog file (*.LRCAT) and helper files (*.LRCAT-DATA) to the new computer. I assume you know that by doing this, there is no need to import the photos on the new computer (and in fact, importing the photos would be the wrong thing to do).
