RAW images not appearing in lightroom

I have updated my entire MacOS operating system, as well as all of my Adobe Cloud applications (LR, PS and Camera RAW), but my RAW images will not appear at all when I try to import - only the JPG files. I shot in both RAW and JPG. This only started happening when I got my new camera, but looking at the compability list, it's supported. I have a Cannon R5. The RAW and JPG images are defiinitley on my memory card - they came up when I tried a friend's computer. I have been reseraching all day trying to find out what the issue is. I have LR set to treat the JPG and RAW files as two separate files. I am beyond frustrated. I want my RAW files 😞

Can anyone help????

Correct answer Rikk Flohr_Photography

Your version is too old for supporting the R5. That is why you are seeing the JPEGs only.
You need Lightroom 9.4 or later.  (Your version. is equivelent to 6.7)
You will need to update via the Creative Cloud App.

Bring up your copy of Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App, Mouse hover over LrC, what version?

And does it not state that an update is available?

Mind you, wondering if you have two versions of LrC installed. Not normal, takes a bit of work to accomplish.

Lightroom version: CC 2015.7

To the best of my memory, and a quick search on google, is that not a early version of the subscription model? Equivalent to perpetual  LR v6.7?

per ref 1, for the Canon EOS R5, LrC v9.4 is required

I have updated my entire MacOS operating system

Was this a simple update, or did you completly rebuild the OS?

In Preferences, General tab, Import Options, is "Treat JPEG files next to RAW as separate photos" checked? I think default is not, default is IMO bad.

UPDATE -

I also tried downloading the pictures straight to my computer and put them in a folder - all of the RAW images are there. Lightroom isn't bringing them up still, only the JPG images.
