Using just LrC today on my macbook, I moved about 150 recent photos into different collections and deleted some to tidy up a bit. A couple hours later, one of the photos is stuck in the "uploading" sync type as per the sync status below:
In the LrSyncDiagnostic/lrsync_log.html :: Binary Uploader section I see (2) entries related to IMG_2390 as below. Any tips on what I should do next to correct this issue with the sync engine? I'm curious what the binaryType==xmp_develop is. I believe *.XMP files were used years ago to save changes in the same directory as the photo, but I don't see *.XMP files in the local folder when IMG_2390 is.

Hey there, We're sorry for the trouble.
I'll need more details to help you. What version of Lightroom Classic and macOS are you working on? Is your catalog stored on an internal or external drive?
General Lightroom Classic Syncing Troubleshooting Steps:
1. Go to https://adobe.ly/47w4d5Q and review the Sync Errors/Issues Album (upper right). Any unresolved syncs will show up as black thumbnails with text instructions inside that tell you how to resolve the sync.
2. After all sync is resolved in Lightroom Web, launch Lightroom Classic and allow it to absorb the changes you've made. If your syncing count hasn't changed in 60 minutes, proceed to the next step.
3. Go to Lightroom Classic > Preferences>Lightroom Sync | Sync Activity and allow the dialog 30 seconds to refresh. Leave this dialog in place until all Uploading/Downloading/Pending Photo counts stop changing. Scroll down the list and find the stuck asset and remove it from your All Synced Photos collection. Allow time for sync to reestablish. Repeat if necessary. If the numbers do not move you can try the nuclear option.
4. In the location where your catalog is stored is a file called 'sync.lrdata'. Close Lightroom and rename sync.lrdata to sync.old. Restart Lightroom. Allow it to sync. If you have a large number of assets, this can take some time. I usually recommend doing this before you go to bed in case it is a several hour operation.

Hi Shivani, appreciate the response.
Unfortunately, when I use your link to view Lightroom Web, I do not see a Synk Errors/Issues album. From searching for web information, the errors album typically appears under "All Photos", but it's not there for me.
I do still have sync errors in LrC, count is now up to 5:
I'll see about applying your steps #3 and #4 later next week as I need to think about if I really want to remove photos from my collection as having all photos in the catalog is very useful.
Another interesting thing is if I use Lr (not classic), it too is always syncing. But if I filter sync status = syncing, it never finds any matching photos (???)

I also looked into the other post you shared for the 5 photos with sync issues: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/how-to-troubleshoot-sync-errors/m-p/945...
Given these 5 photos with sync issues:
When I look at those photos in LrC, I see the single arrow only icon:
If I double click on that single arrow icon in upper right, I then see this dialog and the single arrow icon changes:
Clicking the "Save" button doesn't seem to help anything - the same 5 photos still appear in the sync activity dialog (after I close and reopen that dialog).
Any ideas what "Metadata" indicates in the sync details/error column?
