Is it possible within Lightroom, to remove the gps info from an image ?

It is just for a single image. I had hoped, that I could right click on it and say "remove GPS".

In Library you can just click in the metadata field concerned and delete whatever's there.

Or within the Maps module, Backspace deletes GPS coordinates or else Ctrl+Backspace deletes all location info.

It is possible to systematically leave this info out, when you export a copy of a given photo for... whatever purpose; whether exporting to disk, directly to web, to email etc. This will still allow you to make use of it yourself, within the Catalog, Will that do?

In the Export dialog, Metadata section, even if choosing to include (e.g.) "All Metadata", you can check a separate box to Remove Location Info. There is another box to Remove Person Info.

These options presume that the info you want to omit (for privacy reasons) has been entered into the respective specialised sort of field. If you might have this info entered as a standard keyword instead, or as well - you still have the option of omitting all metadata.

Also when it comes to standard keywords, if there is specific tagging that you want to use in managing your library, but never want to see included in exported copies, you can check "don't include in export" within the properties of the particular keyword(s) concerned.

Thanks for the fast answer, However, I just want to remove the GPS info within Lightroom, because I know, it is wrong and I don't have a better one to replace it.

You can view the fields concerned in the Metadata section in Library - there is a "Location Info" view which presents these more selectively. Then their contents can be changed individually (or else as a batch, via AutoSync).

More convenient probably for the longer term, is to make a named Metadata Preset which with one click clears just the needed field(s) by overwriting whatever is there, back to blank.
