Remove preset from all photos?

New Here ,
Jan 28, 2018 Jan 28, 2018

Hello everybody,

I'm kinda new with Lightroom. Recently when i look at my pictures from the library section, all the pictures seem to have an orange&teal preset applied to them.

I never synced the setting from a picture to all the others, so I don't know why that happened.

Moreover, when I open the same picture that looked orange&teal from the editing section, the "preset" was gone and i could see the original picture. But if I edit the picture from the editing section, and then i go back to see the same picture from the library section, it looks with the edits i made on it + the orange&teal look.

I don't even know ehere to start, does anybody have any idea why this happens?

Thanks for the help,

Zeno

Please post a screen shot of the full LR window showing this problem.

It may be caused by a corrupted monitor profile. To test, check, that you can assign the sRGB profile to your monitor.

This is what I see from the library section. This orange&teal look applies to all the pictures of my library

While this is the real picture the you get when you export. The only thing I did was to switch to the Editing section. Pls help me out I'm getting crazy! The problem is not related to the monitor...the screen settings are the same for the two shots

What do you mean by "the screen settings are the same for the two shots" ?

Have you tried the advice from JSM with the link given?

I agree that it is commonly a Monitor calibration problem that causes a difference between Library and Develop views.

Do you use a screen calibration device?

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.5.1, Photoshop 26.10, ACR 17.5, Lightroom 8.5, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 15.1.1 .

I mean that I didn't change any setting when I moved to the Develop section! The changing happens automatically.

I do not use any screen calibration device.

Try doing what Just Shoot Me suggested and see if that solves your problem. Go to that website and do what it suggests.

Then someplace, on import or the use of Auto Sync, a preset is being applied.

If the first screen shot you posted is an image just after import and you are in the Library module and the second SS is of the Develop module of that same image just after import then there are many adjustments being applied automatically.

In the Develop module go to the Develop menu item and select "Set Default Settings". In the dialog box that comes up select the button "Restore Adobe Default Settings".

If you have made any changes to the Adobe default settings for the cameras you are using you will have to Redo them and then use that same dialog to update them.

Please note that the Default settings are applied to every image you import for the camera you changed those settings for. Usually by serial number.

I do that for every camera I use but usually the settings I change are only for camera Profile, in the Camera Calibration section, and Sharpening/Detail settings in the Detail section.

As has been mentioned, a defective monitor profile is usually the cause of Library and Develop displaying different colors.

I see in your screenshots that the part of the histogram that should be a neutral gray has a blue cast, which is another indication of a defective monitor profile.

And you seem to be on Windows 10, which is known to install low quality monitor profiles when doing updates, so this can happen out of the blue.

Follow the instructions in the link provided by https://forums.adobe.com/people/Just%20Shoot%20Me and try setting the monitor profile to sRGB (use Adobe RGB if you have a wide gamut monitor). If this fixes the problem, you should ideally calibrate your monitor with a hardware calibrator.
