I have 500 photos in a folder that I want to totally revert to as they were when I imported them. Is there a way to do this?

Select all photos in this folder, using the Lightroom Classic library module. Switch to the Develop Module, then Settings->Reset All Settings

"Select all photos in this folder, using the Lightroom Classic library module. Switch to the Develop Module, then Settings->Reset All Settings"

Unfortunately, that trips over LR's inconsistent handling of selections -- it only resets the current photo.  You need to use Quick Develop > Reset All as suggested by Rikk (or the dangerous Auto Sync).

With many commands operating on a photo in Loupe view in Develop or Library, invoking them from the top menu acts just on the current photo, but invoking them via-right-clicking on the filmstrip applies to all the selected photos. For example, that's how Paste Settings, Update AI Settings, Auto White Balance,  and Auto Settings work. But right-click Develop Settings > Reset only acts on the current photo.  That's just one of the many inconsistencies that makes it hard even for experts to remember the behavior:

Moderators, @Rikk Flohr: Photography, it appears a moderator wrongly marked this as the correct answer -- it only resets the current photo. The answer from @Rikk Flohr: Photography should be marked correct:
