rtx 50 series cards and multi tasking

dear community,

i am a long time user of lightroom, since its enception and photoshop user. however i have been using a 3060ti with 0 issues for about two years, i have been able to export while applying settings to the next batch of images including ai with 0 issues, using a 14700k and nvidia studio drivers. i recently updated to a 5060 ti 16gb and there are several issues.

1 in prefs it says full acceleration is not recognised, i so i manually select it.

2 when exporting as above and trying to multi task, either the batch apply settings stops or and the export stops using the graphics card for exports as i have been doing previously.

ive tested the graphics card, with studio and game drivers in games and other tests zero issues but in lightroom classic, its very odd and wont do it in theory the card is 40% faster than the 3060ti but Im not getting that from use.

so question is either its an nvidia driver issue or adobe have not updated lightroom classic to fully utilise the 50 series in lightroom as yet. any ideas please hive mind as its very frustrating.

ive tried the above on an m1 max and m4 max 0 issues works as it always has 0 issues, swapping back to a 3060ti issue goes away, would a 5070 be better or not.

regards brummie

ok so now updated to a 5070 and works fine now but had to do a clean install of windows i just kept getting 117 errors which is a gpu driver issue or power issue which is solved by new psu. however, i find that if a i have done a large ai edit with masks in and updated the ai edits, and go to export it just goes limp and doesnt send the data to gpu to export. i have to restart lightroom and it works fine, its very odd and obvioulsy either a lr and or nvidia issue. im talking like 1700 images where i have same lighting in it and apply, i then check, then add a preset with ai masks ive made for people and then check all the masks with an update it jus then does not export i need to restart lightroom before making the exports. odd,

Is it possible that your computer has also enableb the GPU function of the 14700K? Lightroom Classic and Photoshop do not work well with two GPUs active

In my i7-14700K system, I'm using the Asus Dark Hero motherboard. That MB detects my RTX 3070ti and disables the on board GPU. I have seen some post in this forum that some MBs do not disable the on board video.

You can check in Windows Device manager to see if you have two GPUs running.

Building on @KR Seals suggestion, please do the LR menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the entire contents here so we can see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running and important LR options that are set. (It will also show all the GPUs present on your computer.)

hi all ok done that, seems to make no difference, tried with gaming and studio drivers. there was never any workload going on the igpu anyway. ive tried mutli tasking again. seems to be marginally better but then gives up the ghost and only hanldes one workload at a time. very odd never used to do that wont recognise gpu for auto full acelleration either.  anyone using a 5070 with 0 issues. its all rather odd. regards brummie pics attached. you can see the gpu just seems to go to sleep. before it would still be at 65 % load plus in fact it started off that way then just goes to sleep. workload would be shared whether the igpu is on or off ive tried it both ways, doesnt seem to make any difference, never did before.

Odd indeed. I found just two other posts about LR performance issues with the RTX 5070 or 5080 -- they may or may not be relevant:
