Screen flashes white in Develop

I recently bought a Mac Mini and am using a Dell monitor with it.  When using Lightroom Classic > Develop, I'm finding that there are frequent very fast bright/ white screen flashes.  I don't know why this is happening, but I've not had the issue in any other software or situation.  It's so quick I can barely see it, but it's very annoying, and only happens in the Develop module, while I'm editing.

Weirdly, when I tried recording my screen show I could include a video of the issue, I couldn't recreate it!  As soon as I stop the video, it goes back to flashing annoyoingly, but while recording, I couldn't get it to happen.

I see your issue is in Lightroom Classic, but here is my experience with a similar issue that affected the whole video display.   On my MBP M1 MAX, I used to go several weeks between restarts. I started getting screen flashes on my external monitor after those weeks. A restart always fixes it. I had the same issue with a 2019 MBP (traded in for the M1) with the same external monitor.

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

If this doesn't help, the next step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

If this also doesn't help we need more informations about your environment. Please provide also a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver.

Thank you.  My Lightroom Classic preferences looks like this, rather than a check mark.  Should I turn it to off, restart the program, and then either switch it to "Custom" or back to "Auto"?  The system info is pasted below.  Thanks!
