Self starting slideshow pdf export

Hi, I have made a automatic slideshow in Lightroom 5.7 which plays perfectly within Lightroom. When I export it as a PDF to my Mac and open it, it opens in Preview but does not play automatically. I have to advance through the photos manually. Is there a way to make an automatic PDF?

    Hi Firislander,

    You can only export static PDF files from Lightroom, according to this article: How to create slideshows in Lightroom Classic CC


    Also, you can set the slideshow auto-play from within Acrobat after exporting the PDF from Lightroom and then resave it from Acrobat.

    Or, you might want to look into inDesign to create a dynamic PDF which can auto-play the slideshow: Create dynamic PDF documents in Adobe InDesign

    However, it seems like a good feature fro Lightroom Classic CC, could you please share this idea as a feature here: Photoshop Family Customer Community as this forum is monitored by our engineering team.

    Hi Sahil,

    Thank you for your answer. I am making this slideshow to give to people so they can view it. Some will have Macs and some will have Window machines. I will look at InDesign, but I am interested in how to set the slideshow to auto-play within Acrobat. Can I do this in Preview on my Mac?

    I believe there is no way to do that in Preview on macOS, however, this can be achieved in Acrobat. Please have a look at this article to know, more about this: Setting up PDFs for a presentation
