SEO limitations with Adobe Portfolio

I use Portfolio for multiple websites I manage and I have to say I'm generally very happy with the solution. However one major limitation is the ability to optimise the site for SEO.

I use synched albums on my site and have keywords in all my photos, but I wish to add more desciption for SEO in the "Alt Text" option. In the images I have I can only do this in the caption field. But I don;t want to have the full desciption that I would add in "Alt Text" to be displayed as a caption.

So how to resolve this ?

And how do I know my keywords are still present in the Metadata ?

AFAIK, Adobe Portfolio does not display image meta or Exif data at this time.

For best results, use real text captions that can be "seen" and indexed by search engine crawlers and language translators. The alt attributes on images are no replacement for real text.  Content in the body of your web page is what drives traffic to the site.

Alternative text on images is important for web accessibility.  The alt attribute provides alternate information when a user for some reason cannot view the image (slow connection, an error in loading, or if the user relies on a screen reader).

Owing to past abuses by bad site owners attempting to manipulate searches with keyword stuffing in alt attributes, search engine crawlers ignore it. Ditto for meta keywords.

An investment in Google & Bing ads will increase a website's visibility on web searches and is highly recommended for new sites.

We can't, google picks the descriptions as its own, all we can do is add our description, google will pick what suits the best.
