sharing lightroom catalogs with remote editors
my editors work from home. our current workflow is to create a lightroom classic catalog in a project folder which also contains the raw originals for an event. we use external drives to give to each other. i always keep the original copy which i first give them. once they finish editing in the lightroom catalog, we meet and i copy the lightroom folder inside the project to my drive. i only have to copy the lightroom folder because i already have the original photos and use the same file structure. when i click on the lightroom catalog inside the project, i see all of their edits and can makr any final adjustments before exporting and giving to client. id like to do something better with adobe cloud storage. the events are usually about 50gb for photos so worried about uploading/downloading times for files. one of my editors suggested using new lightroom which attempts to do this but feels clunky and needs to work with many projects. Suggestions? i have similar workflow with premiere pro video projects which are much bigger 150gb+. id like to getaway from having to meet and exchange drives. open to ideas? im sure people are doing this.
thanks
