Skin softening

New Here ,
Aug 23, 2023 Aug 23, 2023

Hi all - especially ADOBE!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have the original Skin Softening tool back - even as an option!!

The 'new' type will not work well with back lit subjects and black and white subjects.

Whenever I go to Skin Soften the program will NOT soften skin!! There is NO difference as there used to be.

All this AI stuff is fine IF it works and i'm finding it doesn't. Regularly. So the  option of using it as a stand alone thing without a mask and having the effect happening 'live' was far quicker and easier.

Thanks

Moved to discussions:

No tool has been removed so it is difficult to understand what you are asking from your description. Can you provide more specific information?

"it is difficult to understand what you are asking from your description"

Seems clear enough he can find the tool of that name, but it's no longer working as expected:

"Whenever I go to Skin Soften the program will NOT soften skin!!"

That right, Oliver?

Hi, all, especially @NZOliverOC

It's right there in the masking presets (where I think it always has been)

It is easy enough to create your own 'Skin Softening' brush with the appropriate sliders, and save it as a brush preset.

Accessing the Brush is a KB shortcut [K] which is faster than clicking the Mask tool and selecting the Brush.
