P: Make it easier to compare two snapshots and to compare one snapshot with current edit

Currently, there is no easy way to compare either two snapshots or to compare one snapshot with the current edit. Both would be very convenient when working with snapshots.

A possible workaround is dragging one edit step from the protocol into the "Before" pane of the Before-After view, but you never know if you picked the right edit step (making a snapshot leaves no trace in the protocol pane), and also you cannot compare two snapshots that way. See discussion in this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/snapshots-how-to-compare-them-side-by-side/m-p/12684416#M260647

Is it possible to compare snapshots side by side?

In Develop, you can always use Before/After view without creating a VC. Just enable it, then drag the snapshot into the Before side.

That's still true 2½ years later: You can only compare one step from the protocol to the latest edit, by dragging that step into the "Before" panel. Adobe, please make it easier to compare two snapshots or at least to compare one snapshot to the current edit. That seems like a very common use case with snapshots, and I often miss that possibility.

Adobe, please make it easier...
