Sony A7III .ARW files won't import

Hi all -

I just purchased a Sony A7III and I'm not able to import my .arw files into Lightroom. According to the system info, I am on Lightroom CC 2015.14 [ 1149743 ].  I've gone to help-->updates, and it says i'm on the latest version. Does anyone have any other advice how to get my files to import please.

    To be more specific, when I import, I am unable to see the preview files (it says 'preview unavailble for these files'), and then if I try to import, i get a message that says 'these files cannot be opened by lightroom'.

    I'm also on Windows 10.

    From the list of supported cameras-  Cameras supported by Camera Raw

    I see that you would need Lr-Classic 7.3 or higher (current version is 8.2)

    Your CC2015.14 is equivalent to v6.3 so will not be able to open your cameras .arw files.

    If you cannot upgrade from the Creative Cloud Desktop App to Classic v8.2 then your computer system may not allow the updates. Can you report your system specs?

    You do have the alternative to convert the .ARW files to raw .DNG files with the free Adobe DNG Converter, and then import the .DNGs into your version of Lightroom.
