Spot Removal Tool not functioning - Lightroom Classic 8.3.1 macOS 10.14.5

I have noticed recently that my spot removal tool (clone/heal both) are not functioning.    Everything seems to be normal until it selects an area to clone from. It is not pasting the close area onto the spot to be corrected.   There is no correction being made.    I am using LRC 8.3.1 and MacOS 10.14.5.   Is this a known bug?  How do I correct this?   I am a 5-year user of LR and this has been a much-used feature.

Hi there,

That shouldn't be happening, let's make it right.

Have you tried turning off the GPU option from Lightroom's preferences? Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.
