Question

Strange dots/lines/patterns that don't appear in other applications

When I zoom to 200 and 300% (picture is 300%) i can see some strange dots/lines/patterns throughout the buildings. I have tried viewing the photo in both Photoshop and Lightroom and cannot see this problem in those 2 applications. Using windows 11. cheers

What's the "problem"? All I can see is zoomed-in pixels - nothing stands out as untoward or unexpected from a 300% view.

Let's see the Capture One alternative - and bear in mind that different demosaicing algorithms will give different results at 300% view, so I would absolutely expect Lr and Capture One to look different in pixel-peeping mode.

(Dunno how PhotoShop fits into that - I imagine that it's opening the preview jpeg if you're not in ACR - so it would help to see that shot too.)

Here is the same photo in Camera Raw; the tallest building has the clearest example of the problem — there is a vertical faultline where one side is lifted up and the other side is down lower (i guess like being cut in half and not joining up properly)

Sorry - still can't see the problem (and that red-and-yellow "stuff" ain't helping.)

One thing that is obvious is that the NR and sharpening values are waaay different in each of these pics - is that what you're seeing?

But "faultlines" and "sides lifted up" - no idea what we're supposed to be reacting to there.

Anyone else getting this?
