Subfolders not opening

LR issue -Parent folder shows 1454 images and I can see all when scrolling through the grid.  When trying to open up subfolders, unable to do so.  The "Show photos in subfolders" is checked.  Until recently, could open subfolders.  Not sure what I may have done to create this problem.   Other parent folders and subfolders all work fine - just not my "Engaging Light" subfolders.  Thanks for any suggestions!

Thank you for your help.  Still subfolders not adding up to parent folders- will keep researching! Again, thank you for your assistance.

If you want more help, then do not post cut-off screenshots. The folder list screenshot does not tell us anything, because it is not complete. The rest of the subfolders -not visible because the screenshot is cut off at the bottom- could contain the rest of the images that the top folder image count suggests there should be. So again all I can say is that you screenshot does not show anything out of the ordinary.

Also please do not attach screenshots, but embed them so we can see them right inside your message. Use this button:

All your subfolders are already open. Lightroom does not show photos in the folder panel, if that is what you think. It only shows folders and the shown dated folders do not have any more subfolders of their own (the triangle is dotted, which means no more subfolders). There are no images in the 2008 and 2009 folders of the folder panel -the image counts are zero-, but the images shown in the grid are from later years (2014 for example), so I am not sure what problem your screenshot is supposed to show. Everything in your screenshot looks perfectly normal.

Johan,

Thanks for getting back to me.  Attached is a different screenshot to give you an idea of what is happening - total at parent folder relects what is visible in the grid, but subfolders only show a couple of images and not even close to adding what parent folder has.  The "Show photos in subfolders" is checked.   A gain, thank for your time and thoughts!

I was going to ask the following based on your initial post, And now that you posted that additional screenshot, I very much want to point out the following:

I see that you have two folders shown in the Folders panel with the same name, in this case the very folder you are having issues with, that being "Engaging Light

I suspect a capitalization issue. (folders in the catalog are missed up)

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
