Question

Synchronizing never ends

In the upper left corner I have a message "synchronazing photos". I have had the computer on the last 4 days continously.

I have moved all fotos from an external disk to Dropbox.

Installed one map 778 photos. 696 are synchronized, 12 dubblettes, but still the programme say "synchronazing photos"

I went to "edit/ adjustmnets/lightroom CC/ synchronazing activities and found my 75 files by their names, but I could not interfere with the synchronazing process.

What did I wrong?

    John,

Using Dropbox has never been a good idea for primary storage for LR Classic.  It is disk and folder based, not cloud based.  The new Lightroom CC may be what you need if you want cloud based storage.  But, it works with Adobe servers not Dropbox.

I have both. Install from Dropbox to CC one map at a time. It was the same when I installed from my external harddisk to CC

I believe we have a smal misunderstanding.

I have had LR and PS on CD for many years. I haave more than 20.000 photos on my harddisk. Iwanted to get a cloud solution. Therefore I installed CC, Lr classic and Ps  CC.

I need to transfere my photos from the harddisk to the cloud. Two weeks ago I started and got the same problem as described above.

I asked then for a solution and your anssver was that the problem was my harddisk. Therefore I started Droppbox för my photos to get another way for transferring them to CC, but as mentioned above the problem is the same. 90% of files in the map synchonize and 10% not. Why?

If you follow my startquestion today you perhaps wonder as I - is there something wrong with file stopping the synchronization? and where can I find this file in the cloud - perhaps we can solve the problem deleting this file - I don´t know, do you?
