Syncing Issues with Lightroom CC Classic and Lightroom Mobile

Sorry if this has been answered but I can't find answer if exists.

I have been using Desktop version Lightroom and syncing many photos with mobile and when I would travel I would add photos to mobile and they would show up in the synced photos on my desktop Lightroom.

After the new upgrade to Lightroom CC Classic I find that photos from desktop will sync to mobile, but that photos added to mobile (through iPhone or iPad) will not show up in synced photos list on desktop Lightroom Classic.

I have deleted all photos and resented Lightroom Classic desktop.  Still same result.

Has anyone gotten this to work with syncing both directions?

Would be happy to just use Lightroom CC, but still doesn't have some editing features I use and they keywords that I have spent years curating do not seem to transfer.

Thanks,

You are not seeing anything in Folders e.g. from Lr Mobile?

Launch Lr Classic and from the menu go to:

Lightroom >> Preferences >> Lightroom CC (tab)

Check sync activity for errors and system sleep and location settings.

    Ok.

I went to the Preferences>>Lightroom CC tab and noted that no location had been chosen.

I chose a location and now seems to work.

    Thanks much!

I am having the same problem. I have seen other posts about deleting the sync.irdata file and I have done this before with other lightroom issues. However, I can no longer find the file. There is no AppData in the users folder. I have searched all my drives and cannot find it. please could someone help as this is a real problem.

    Thanks

YOU HAVE TO GO TO YOUR system folder setings and make hidden folders to be visible

I'm glad to tell that the latest update (Middle of december 2017) for Lightroom Classic fixed the issue with syncing !

    Thanks Adobe for the reaction...

I hope all syncing problems are fixed not only mine...

    I have a similar problem :

I tried to change location in the Lightroom CC tab but every restart brings back the old location !

When I launch Lightroom CC Classic with Synch active one or two syncs are done then the used memory by the app climbs to the fill the 16 GBytes of my ram an nothing else downloads !

    No problem with Ligthroom cc...

I would try deleting that one photo (7931) which is causing a hang-up. You could delete it from Lr CC, which will remove it from the cloud.

Then try again perhaps will a small batch of test images. If that works you can then try adding 7931 again.

Yes it works. Originals imported to Lr iOS, Lr Android or into the Lr web app using a browser get sent to the cloud and then get downloaded into Lr Classic.

Launch Lr Classic and check that sync is turned on and that you have sufficient available storage. You can do this by hovering over the identity plate (top left in Library) and clicking the triangle icon that appears.

    Thanks for reply.

I have syncing turned on and plenty of space available.

I still do not see any of the files added to iOS device showing up in the synced files in Lightroom Classic application.

It seems to be an exclusively one way form of syncing.

Files added from the desktop Lightroom Classic sync to mobile, but files added through mobile do not show up in desktop.

They do show up in the mobile cloud as viewed on other devices or Lightroom CC.

    BTW I am using Macintosh.
