Tether d850 using LRC on Mac sonoma ( using Rosetta add on )

ever since sonoma Mac OS was installed the tether system fails , it has been well over a year and no solid solution. 

the Rosetta addition to lightroom classic is flimsy and fickle. I use a tether tool cable which transfers / imports images ok so there's no connection issue

the tether import for shooting works on Rosetta for a short session then decides to stop working if you disconnect for image review or whatever , which makes you look unprofessional to clients and is frustrating beyond belief

looks like it's time to explore different software !?

has anyone found a solution ?

some threads recommend a usb adapter to boost performance.  I have never heard of that , do they work for anyone?
