Tethering not working in the latest version of LRC running Sonoma 14.2

Hardware: Mac Mini M1
OS: Sonoma 14.2
LRC version: 13.0

I have been unsucessful in tethering any of my Nikon cameras (D3, D700, Z6 and Z7) with LRC. When selecting the tethering option, the dialog box indicating that it is searching for the camera just keeps thinking. I also noticed that my camera does NOT go into PC mode when this is happening.
I tried different cables (I use Tether tools cables) different USB ports, with a USB hub, without a hub and nothing.
I then downloaded Nikon's NX tether program along with their NX studio and again, nothing. I tried all the steps listed above.

I downloaded Nikon's Camera Control Pro 2 and that works! When I start the program, my camera bodies instantly go into PC mode and I cam able to tether my camera with my Mac.

I also downloaded Smart Shooter 5 as a standalone program and as a plugin for LR. Both methods work also. As a plugin to LRC, I just start LRC as I normally would, then select the Tether option and Smart Shooter 5 tether plugin starts and I am able to tether into LRC that way.

I do not feel like spending 100 bucks on Smart Shooter 5 just to be able to tether into LRC or even worse, 200 bucks for Nikon's Camera Control Pro 2.

Any suggestions or can the Adobe team please help!
Thank you!!!
