The select background tool is not working after the Lightroom classic update today 8-23-23. Help how can I fix it?

      You GPU may have been disabled during the upgrade process. Therefore, please post your 'System Info' as it contains information that will help us check whether this is the case. This can be obtained from the LrC Help > System Info menu item as shown in attached screenshot.

      Thanks, my son is coming over and I'll give him this information. Are you saying that this is a problem with my computer and not Lightroom Classic?  Unfortunately, I don't know much about computers.

      When LrC is launched a test for GPU compatability is carried out. Occassionally, the update process can cause this test to fail resulting in the GPU being disabled. When this happens the AI features such as masking stop working.

      Actually, none of the select tools works after today's update.  Does anybody else experience this problem?

      I upgraded to Lightroom Classic 12.5 about a week ago (is that the version of LrC you are talking about?), and I have not had any trouble with the selection tools.

       

      It might be helpful if you posted the first 50 lines or so from Help->System Info.

      In the Lightroom Classic, the selection tool selects because I can see it in the selection when it's highlighted, but when I try the adjustment tools, the whole image gets adjusted. How can I fix this, I'm so frustrated!
