Transfer of Nikon D5200 photo comments to Lightroom Classic CC

My Nikon D5200 allows me to put comments on each photo.  I use this to enter info about location, subject, etc.  When I import these photos into LR, I don't see the comments in any of the EXIF data fields or other data areas.  Would appreciate help understanding if transfer of the comments is possible, and if so how I can get them to appear.  Thanks!

In order for the notes that you enter to be displayed in Lightroom, they would have to be entered into a standard EXIF slot. Apparently that notes feature is a unique feature that you would have to use Nikon software in order to reap the benefit. Probably in the same category as being able to display focus points. Those types of features can be displayed using the Nikon software, but they simply aren't available in Lightroom.

I would think adding a comment to images on the camera is a waist of time. you can do it much easier on a computer with a real keyboard. I suggest you stop doing it on the camera.

As stated above. that comment is someplace in the Maker Notes and Nikon doesn't share them with others.

I think Nikon's comment function isn't supported by Lightroom.
