Twilight Zone catalog issue - a file vanished in plain sight

I added a new file to a folder that had previously been imported into LRC. I was careful to title the file so that it would be the last photo in the folder and wouldn't disrupt the sequence of images, some of which had alfready been edited. I imported the file into LRC but it does not appear there in its folder.

It only appears under "previously Imported."

Is there a way I can locate it within LRC?

Why did this happen??? I have been using LRC since it first launched and have never seen anything like this.

Thanks for the suggestions. I simply restarted and the file appeared in its proper place. I use an external drive for all of my raw files so it adds a layer of potential connectivity issues. Restarting solved the problem in this case.

Sounds like perhaps you moved the image during import, so it is now in another folder. As @AxelMatt already suggested, you can easily check this: Select the image in Previous Import, then choose 'Photo - Go to Folder in Library'.

Having your files on an external drive is something many photographers (including me) do. It should not cause any special problems.

Do you've set any filters in the library?

Goto to "All Photographs". Do you see your photo in this view?

What happened if you do a right-click on an image and select "Go to folder in Library"
