Undoing a restored Lightroom catalog backup

Today I was deleting my old Lightroom catalog backups, I accidentally restored an old catalog, which deleted all of my current edits! Is there a way to undo this accidental catalog backup restoration?

Depends on where you unzipped the backup to.

If you put the backup into a separate folder, the Per's suggestion to use the File menu to open the previous catalog works.

If you overwrote the original catalog with the backup, then the only way to get the previous catalog is to restore it from its backup you made. If you don't have that backup file, then the original catalog is gone forever.

Go to File > Open recent, and choose your original catalog from the list.

Do you have a backup of the current catalog?
