I currentlly use Lightroom Classic 9.0. If I purchase the latest Adobe Photography Plan (20gb) which includes LightroomClassic and Photoshop, will the existing catalogue, edits and keywords be copied over to the new version of the programme?

You can't be using Lightroom Classic 9.0 unless you have already subscribed to (not purchased) the Adobe Photography Plan. So no need to subscribe (not purchase) again. Upgrading the catalog is pretty seamless, quick, and automatic (although I think you have to click the mouse to give permission to upgrade the catalog).

The short answer is yes.

The latest version of Lightroom Classic is 12.3. When you launch LrC 12.3 for the first time it will detect that your LrC 9.x catalog is from an older version and offer to update same. The update process actually creates a duplicate copy of the LrC 9.x catalog and updates that. The new LrC 12.x catalog will contain all the edits, keywords, flags, history, etc that's present in the original LrC 9.x catalog. The new catalog will have the same name as the original, but have -V12 added to the end.

Note that the original catalog is left original intact should you need to revert to LrC 9.x
