Since the update my computer continues to lock up my whole system while working within Lightroom. A reboot is required to solve the problem. It also seems to be more sluggish than prior version with lots of disc activity.

I am running in Windows 11 with no issues prior to this update.

I'm a bit suspicious of the interaction between Lightroom and my Nvidia RTX 3060 since screen refreshes seem to be the point at which Lightroom locks up my whole system.

    So, yes, that is the current NVIDIA GPU Driver release.

     

    When you updated that driver, did you select custom for install type, as to force a clean install?

        Your video driver seems old to me. There are newer drivers, which you should download and install. NVidia makes Game and Studio drivers, make sure you install the newest Studio driver.

          That is the newest Studio driver, as of Sunday.

          Every once in a while, it is the new driver that causes problems, and reverting back to a recent version of the driver might help.

           

          Also, this could be a hardware malfunction somewhere, and you ought to run diagnostics on all of your hardware.

            Whole computer locking up and requiring a reboot is either a bad driver (make sure all your drivers are up-to-date, and re-install them if they are up-to-date just in case they have gotten corrupted); or it is caused by a hardware malfunction somewhere (run diagnostics on all hardware).

              Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. Please make also sure that you have installed the Studio version and not the Game Ready version of your NVidia driver.

               

              Do you have tried to install the recent update to LR 13.0.1?

               

              Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
