and why is it killing my battery?!?? I’m running Lightroom, and when I click on my battery it says that this file is running 99% of my usage, not even Lightroom is running very much! It’s draining my battery, and running the fan. I’ve tried quitting Lightroom and closing my computer (not shutting it down) until the fan stops, then I open my laptop and after a couple minutes the fan will come back on, so it’s clearly whatever program this is. I’ve been having huge issues with LR since the big update a couple years ago, and finally bought a new MacBook Pro with 16 RAM thinking the fastest computer would help, but it hasn’t. I finally ended up wiping my new computer clean and reinstalling everything one by one instead of restoring from a backup and that is how I found that whatever dynamic server media link is, it’s killing my speed and battery.

The Dynamic Sync Server Media Link is used to provide video support in Lightroom Classic. The normal issue we see reported here is that it has failed to load, but your issue appears occasionally. When either issue occurs you should try resetting the Lightroom Preference file. Details of the procedure are described in Method 1 at How to set Lightroom Classic preferences

Hopefully, this will solve the the underlaying problem.
