When I Edit In Photoshop, NO I don't want to save Metadata

For over a decade this bug has existed...

In Lightroom, select a large TIFF > edit in > edit in Photoshop

Lightroom just sits there "Saving Metadata"

Any chance this can be fixed after a decade+?
