When using "Before" in Develop mode, the previous photo flashes on-screen

To repro:

  1.  Enter Develop mode for a photo
  2.  Show Before photo (backslash)
  3.  Move right (with the arrow key)
  4.  Show Before photo (backslash)

 

You'll notice the previous photo flashes on-screen before the correct photo is shown. This is super annoying when looking at lots of Before photos.

I can't replicate this, I do not see the flash. I suspect this may be a GPU issue. If you disable GPU in preferences and try again, do you see this flashing?

If I disable GPU, then yes, the problem goes away. I guess I'll have to do this for now.

 

For reference, this is my system:

  • Windows 11
  • Lightroom Classic 11.5
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (31.0.15.1748)

    If turning OFF GPU works, it's a GPU bug and you need to contact the manufacturer or find out if there's an updated driver for it. On Mac, that's part of the OS that needs a fix. This is why disabling GPU is an option as more and more functionality moves to the GPU in newer versions of many Adobe products.
