Question

White Balance changing on its own

I am having an issue after updating Lr Classic to 13.5, all my sync images are getting updated with a custom WB, it's affecting the whole catalog. A new entry was added in the history log, changes from Lr mobile, I didn't used Lr mobile.

best regards,

Rafael

Have you considered resetting your LrC Preferences file?

Remember if you do this, then your LrC Preference will go back to defaults, so you might want to save screenshots of those settings as to remember what to change after the reset.

I did the reset of Lightroom Classic settings, but the sync with cloud is still going on.

Have you, or will you, let that SYNC run overnight, perhaps all day, and see if it ever finishes?

One thing to verify, just in case:

You do in fact have a proper install of v13.5, correct?

And one thing to ask

The image you used as an example (in the History Panel) Was imported way back in 2023, so not involved with the LrC v13.3 issue where the first step shown in the History Panel is White Balance: As Shot. And you have not in the Basic Panel, changed the White Balance.

So  their may be a new problem, perhaps a bug, where White Balance: Custom is being applied

Updating more than 30k images from local to the cloud

Did that SYNC complete?

And what were your exact steps to start it?

Can you take a new photo, import that, and see what occurs?

this entry was added to all the pictures in my catalog, the screenshoot was one random image from my catalog. It was imported and never edited, but that change with a custom WB was added automatically.

I closed Lightroom Classic and I am not using it, I don't want to finish the sync to the cloud, but looks like there is no change to restore the images to a correct/previous state.

Importing new photos is fine, no WB is applied, but my lifetime catalog was totally "destroyed".

but that change with a custom WB was added automatically.

In your example, only two history states were shown, a import, and the undesired White Balance: Custom. No other edits. For that particular image, did you previously have edits?

What I am wondering about is are the previous edits dumped? Assuming you example was a simple import only one, what shows up on an old image where you did have History Steps above Import, Exposure, Profile, Mask, etc. Hopefully the top History Step, not a flush of previous edits???

Updating more than 30k images from local to the cloud. It ruined all my catalog
