White balance for monochrome files

Why is there no while balance eye dropper when working on b/w monochrome files?

If you want an overall "Color Tone" for the image (eg. Sepia)- use the Color Grading Panel adjustments.

Monochrome is R=G=B (neutral); there is no color to WB, it is.

Because it would be meaningless? What are you actually trying to do?
