I was operating two lightroom classic copies, one on a Mac and one on windows. For both computers my main photo library is on an external NAS (non synced across the two laptops) with some folders on the local hard drive or a external SSD drive. I needed to consolated everything to the Mac (MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1). I exported the windows catalog and all local photo files onto the SSD and moved them over to the Mac. Since the window and Mac catalogs had different folders on the NAS imported and were not duplicated in each catalog I decided to merge the two catalogs. I now have the following two issues.
1. The external NAS is showing up twice and the folders are labeled slightly different parent folders. The NAS folder from the Mac catalog is fine but the NAS folder from the windows catalog shows up missing. When I navigate to the NAS mounted drive on the mac and click the correct folder I get the "An Internal Error has Occurred. Invalid Path". I believe it should be able to find the folder, realize there are two of the same folder and merge them.
2. The photo files that were on the external SSD drive as part of the windows catalog came over fine and I was able to find missing folder fine. I've since migrated those files and folders off the external SSD and over to the NAS. However, my flags and star ratings are there but none of my edits on these folders came over.
Any ideas why I'm hitting issues with this catalog merge when involved a merge of a MacOS catalog and a Windows 11 catalog? The new location will be on the Mac long term.

Looking into the comments of these thread seemed to be a similar issue. I tried downgrading to 12.1 as some people suggested, however, I can not open the new Merged catalog stating "xxxx catalog cannot be opned because it is too new to beused by this version of lightroom"

Lightroom Classic is not downwards compatible. Version 12 cannot read a catalog from version 13.
