How would I go about doing this?

I have done this by exporting to AVIF files with rec 2020 HDR and putting them in a Final Cut Pro X timeline.  This works, but performance is really, really slow to edit.  (I'm on an M1 Max Macbook Pro w/ 64GB memory)  I'd say it only plays back at 0.5 fps on the timeline.  I've heard Jpeg XL should be much smoother to work with.  I'm going to try that workflow next.

Does the software that you're using for the final video support AVIF or JPEG XL sequences as HDR input footage? That would be the simplest way if it does. Just export the entire timelapse sequence, point your video software at it, set frame rate, and you're good to go.

Probably some video post production software.
